Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc. was formed on May 30th, 1879 at the Russell Military Academy in New Haven Connecticut. It’s founder F. Harvey Smith founded this Fraternity on the principles of brotherhood and cooperation that have steadfastly remained as core elements of Kappa Psi through its long history and many transitions. Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest fraternity within the profession of pharmacy, and is currently comprised of 70 collegiate and 50 graduate chapters within the United States, Canada and the Bahamas.
Province IV is a regional grouping of chapters located in the southern states of Georgia, Alabama and Florida and the Bahamas. At present there are nine collegiate chapters and five graduate chapters in the province.
Province IV has a proud history of committed involvement and service within Kappa Psi and throughout the communities in which its chapters are located. As one of the fastest growing provinces in the country, it seeks to build on its proud heritage, and continue to expand in its influence and effect on the Fraternity and society at large. The Province is committed to fostering improved communication and fellowship among its members, and aiding in the development of the future leaders of this Fraternity and the profession of Pharmacy.
